    On the Android app the employee taps IN at the start of duty.

    A selfie and the GPS position are saved with the punch, so proxy attendance stops.

    The server records the time

    The time comes from the server, not the phone clock, and changes leave an audit trail.

    Managers see the register

    Present, late and absent staff show on the web dashboard and in the monthly register.

How much does the attendance app cost?

Attendance is part of every SM HRMS plan. The Starter plan is ₹29 per user per month and includes selfie + GPS attendance, leave, holidays, policies, the directory and attendance reports. There is a 14-day free trial with no card.

Can employees mark attendance from home or another place?

Only if you allow it. With office geofencing switched on, office staff can punch only inside the office area. The selfie and GPS location are saved with every punch either way.

Is there an Android app?

Yes. SM HRMS has a native Android app, downloaded directly as an APK, and a web dashboard for admins and managers. A Google Play listing will follow later.

Can the attendance time be changed by changing the phone clock?

No. Punch times are recorded by the server, and corrections leave an audit trail.

Does attendance flow into payroll?

Yes, on the Business plan (₹79 per user per month). Payroll uses attendance and can deduct automatically for late marks, short leave and absence, then creates payslips employees open on their phone.
